Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Fatih Izciler, the operator named in the Impressum, about your use of KnitCanvas. The Impressum carries the operator's full contact details.

An account. A signed-in account is required to use KnitCanvas. Keep your password to yourself; tell us if you think someone else has it.

Your designs are yours. You keep every right in the charts, colours and patterns you make here. We store them so the service can show them back to you, and we do not claim ownership of them, publish them, or use them to promote KnitCanvas.

What you upload. Only upload images and material you are allowed to use. Do not use KnitCanvas for anything unlawful.

Still in development. KnitCanvas is free of charge and features are still being built. We may change, add or withdraw features. Where a change affects saved projects we will try to give notice, but we cannot promise it in every case.

Editing from two tabs or two devices. KnitCanvas saves as you work and checks, on every save, that the copy you are editing is still the current one. A save from a tab holding an out-of-date copy is refused rather than applied, and that tab will ask you to reload — so the other device's work is not overwritten.

Your work. Your projects stay in your account until you delete them. KnitCanvas is free of charge and still in development: we do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption, or free of errors or of data loss, and we do not offer a backup or restore service. Keep your own copy of anything you would not want to redo.

Liability. We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever liability is mandatory under the German Product Liability Act. For simple negligence we are liable only where we breach a duty that is essential to the purpose of this agreement, and then only for damage that is foreseeable and typical for an agreement of this kind. Any further liability is excluded.

Ending it. You can stop using KnitCanvas and ask us to delete your account at any time, by writing to the address in the Impressum. We may close an account that is being used unlawfully, or in a way that damages the service for other people.

Changes to these terms. If we change these terms we will publish the new version here and, where the change matters to you, ask you to accept it. German law applies; if you are a consumer, the protections of your own country's law that cannot be contracted away still apply to you.
